Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation announced the results of the competition for the title of "Best Russian Exporter 2011" and JSC IRKUT was declared the winner in the aircraft industry nomination.
The contest is held to support exports of industrial products. Winners are determined by the method developed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade on the basis of enterprises’ consolidated reports of export.
Alexey Fedorov, IRKUT Corporation President said: “By the results of 2008, 2009 and 2010 we were the best exporter of the industry due to stable deliveries to foreign customers of multi-role Su-30MKI, Su-30MKM and Su-30MKI(A) fighters. In 2011 a list of our exports increased by Yak-130 Combat trainer deliveries. Keeping the exports the Corporation plans to increase deliveries of advanced aircraft for the Russian Air Force as well.”
Alexey Fedorov also mentioned that the increased profitability of export contracts makes the solid basis for realization of the MC-21 commercial aircraft program.
